One of our first steps to achieve a cleaner and brighter future was to take action to limit the amount of plastic bags used by people daily! We hope to accomplish this by creating a petition to make plastic bags at major supermarket and food chains cost an extra fee. We want to reach out to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the U.S. Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district in our petition because she has the power to help us take action. We created a petition because we felt that gaining support from many different people and awareness for our cause is how we will be able to make this a reality. This is important to us, and we want to take all necessary steps to hopefully make this possible. We hope you will join us and sign our petition at Change.org!
